Blitz timeout time

So recently Chess.com shortened the disconnect time. I've found this to be a huge hindrance to my blitz rating. My computer bluescreened recently during a blitz game--in a totally won position and it took more than a minute to get the game reloaded. For one reason or another, my computer seems to bluescreen during blitz alarmingly frequently--and somehow it always happens in won positions, which makes me almost suspicious this is some kind of conspiracy.

Usually I have my phone handy for such occurrances but the chess.com app decided to be slow as molassas today.

Just want to put my $0.02 that I'd prefer a longer time before timing someone out. I'm willing to sit on a game for 3 minutes if my opponent disconnects, if in return I have some leeway to get back into the game if I lose my connection for whatever reason. This is one of the main reasons I play 5-minute instead of 3/2, just to have time to get back in and save the game if I disconnect.

This is also a major issue with phone chess in general...

This is a double-edged sword. Earlier we had people complain that they had to wait too long for the game to end when an opponent purposely disconnected, hence they lowered the timespan to reconnect. Sadly genuine disconnections have also taken a hit.
