Photos?
Chess.com - Version 3
Yep, it looks like photos are going. Miha, you might want to save your photo collection before the new upgrade!
Pity about the downloads. Of course the last time I looked lot of folks were posting their own games for download instead of interesting master games. Maybe that's why it's being pulled. Maybe a nice compromise would be to have a download section with collections chosen by staff?
Fortunately I have all of them saved on the computer, but I will miss some creative comments (e.g. Scottrf's). Also, more than 1000 people enjoyed my collection of all WCC games I gathered together from different sources (except 2012, 2013 I added by myself while watching Championship match). :)
So if it disappears, feel free to contact me. ;)
As for Downloads, anything that's in text form such as PGN files, can always be posted in a forum post or blog & then copied/pasted by anyone who wants to.
That isn't the same for freeware/shareware. I've downloaded a few pieces of software from this site that have been quite useful.
Miha, I don't know what limit there is on the length in characters in a forum or blog post but 200 games would be a little indigestible
RonaldJosephCote, how do I know all what? Have you followed the link I gave above?
Actually, if enough people register similar complaints over and over, I'm sure the management of the site will try to address them, even though I have only the faintest illusion of v2's returning.
I wonder how many members know that a major software upgrade is due to launch at the end of August? You can find details here..

The thing that caught my eye was those features being dropped from the new site:-
Photos, Chessopedia, Endless Quiz, Downloads, “Local” club & event directories, and Shop Online.
I won't miss most of those but I've found Downloads (that's the one on the More pop-up menu) very useful & it'll be a great shame to lose them. I hope the site will reconsider some of those.
