Chess.com mods: too harsh?
Hello.
Today I was kicked from live.chess.com for a semi inapproriate sentence. I was punished, and rightfully so. I feel, however, that some mods are substiantially more strict than others. This imbalance is frustrating, many people will get a warning message from the staff about their actions, but some will immediately take next level action regardless if it was one of the only times a person has done that offense. I also feel that some moderators are biased, and when I try to converse with them, the environement becomes mirthless and bitter around the mod. Please, make a protocol that is a criteria for handing out punishments, and staff should have to abide by that list.
A lot of the time its not actually a person who kicks or mutes you (or other members) its the auto swear filter in live chess which is built into the system.

People have different personalities. News at 6:00.
People surely don't come to live.chess.com to read your rude/annoying chat messages. You're submitting other people to your trash against their will. Take responsibility for your actions and live with the consequences. Personally I'm all for some kind of 3 strike system to perma-block someone's chat. People that don't learn from their repeated mistakes won't learn from even more repeated mistakes. Yeah mods can be harsh and some of them are on a power trip, but those mods are only annoying to those that are annoying to others. A thief getting robbed is sweet justice.

here is a typical mod:
PLEASE DO NOT WRITE IN ALL CAPS THANK YOU
lecturing in all caps. smh. Then even when someone stresses a verb such as: Chess IS magic; these dudes still type PLEASE DO NOT WRITE IN ALL CAPS THANK YOU
There is no rule anywhere on the entire site that says 'no caps', however many prefer all caps aren't used as this is a non voice enabled site and on the internet, all caps is viewed as shouting. Also many find it harder to focus on text when trying to read between large, small, large small in fonts all the time. Even if the mods aren't in there and don't say anything, many of the members will object and ask for the all caps to stop, but this is when everything on every sentence is all caps, not when its just one or two words to emphasise something.
