chess.com not addressing regular disconnectors

I have just played someone who disconnected when losing. I looked at their notes page and found 3 pages of people complaining about them disconnecting. Whatever policy chess.com has in place to deter regular disconnectors is clearly not working in this case.

Let it go...and move on.

So I just switched from another site where if a player times-out...they forfeit the game.  In my first set of 5 games, 2 players have aborted my games.  What does this mean?  My stats don't reflect wins (by forfeit).  Are my aborted games a waste of my time?  My other site never had this issue.  Is this a regular occurence on this site?  I am a Premium Member and did not expect this????  Please explain this to me.

Why? It is my leisure time these people are wasting. I only have a certain amount of it before I go back to back my job, which I do not enjoy. I do not like it be squandered by this ridiculous behaviour.

Why?

Because it isn't going to change. You can't legislate good sportsmanship.

You can not legislate against bad behaviour? So, the penal system is wrong?

How about giving them the benefit of the doubt?  Chess.com is a large website with many, MANY users.  It's reasonable that some users can fall between the cracks.  As I understand it, they have an algorithm that works when a player violates the Fair Play many times, they are regulated to a pool of other players that have done the same.  They are removed from that pool when they work off enough games without violations.  So it's possible that the person you played was simply out of the pool.

Also, you're a premium member.  You can play another game while one is in progress.

The regularity of disconnections suggest that the penalty system is not working.

disconnecting is the only thing that can make you feel better after a crushing, esp a string of losses.

Are you serious? If you feel this way, I have to say, it is sad to see someone who can't find a better way to deal with a loss than to run away.
