I think the "Improve your chess rating today!" slogan is a very lame way to make someone play chess online. Where's the fun element? Most people want to play chess for the fun it gives to the players. Not to mention that chess is a dull (you have to think) and difficult (same reason) ga

I think that maybe Chess.com Homepage Slogan will be cycling forever so that the site can get the most of both worlds. Silly, but efficient.

Spamming is sending the same inappropriate message to lots of people.

Trolling is posting deliberately inflammatory comments in order to provoke people into responding.
