Can you imagine the outcry it would cause?
I guess i shouldn't be surprised this has already been discussed. But out of interest, why do you think it would cause an outcry?

a) because it's a change
b) making-premoves-optional-with-workflow

Certainly, but Wildcard Conditional (Turn-Based) will behave the same as as PreMove (Live Chess) - and the traditionalist lobby here may try to argue that it is an innovation not found in traditional chess.

Other improvements to conditional moves I think are also worth considering:
- Reconsolidating transpositions across multiple conditional lines
- An autoplay forced moves setting that would allow a conditional to automatically be set up and played out anytime a move is forced.
And then there's this:

I like the 'conditional move' button, it's an excellent addition. Would it be possible to have a 'conditional after anything' option, that's not dependant on a particular line? I ask for those situations where you are completely winning and an opponant, rather than playing on or resigning, makes a move every couple of days, which is rather annoying. Example:
Just a thought.
