Disconnect - abandonment? Seriously?

So, this is my second game in a couple of days I'm losing due to my bad connection. Everything is OK, I'm winning, opponent has ~1min of time remaining (blitz 10m) and I disconnect due to connection. And I'm only left with 1 minute to reconnect. This is so stupid it's almost funny.
Why not coming up with some different rule. I lost two obviously winning games, lost a lot of rating due to your rule that's - to put it less bluntly - absolutely stupidddddd!
There. I was as nice as your rule deserves. My God, it's so stupid. Why did I put 10 minute limit if I'm not allowed to use it - for an y reason. I should be able to put a glass on my head and run around the table, naked. It's internet guys! There's benefit of not seeing the opponent, but anything else - it should reflect real chess.
If you're so keen to make it different from real life rules, why not adding new peaces? For example, you could have a piece called Joker. It could give a victory to losing party at random - just in case winning guy's internet provider isn't [removed -- MOD].
OMG, how much you suck!
reconnect in the midle of the game, what's the point?
The point you get if you read the post. I had enough time to complete the game because I was about to win. Stupid rule made me lost just because I was DC for more than 60s.

what do you suggest.. ?
Let user "use up" his time. If I have 3 more minutes, then wait for these 3 minutes. And if I lose, then OK. Tough luck. But If I'm about to win in one move and I have these three minutes, it's absolutely stupid to make me lose just because I DC-ed.
Dear Team
I have received the following message (in Italian as I'm Italian):
Ti invitamo a non interrompere o abbandonare partite intenzionalmente, né a fare attendere i tuoi avversari inutilmente. Il tuo account potrebbe subire delle restrizioni se non segui la nostra Politica del Gioco Leale. Grazie per rendere Chess.com un luogo divertente nel quale godere degli scacchi in modo leale!
where you are saying me not to abandon the games.
May I suggest you to verify the situations before sending these messages?
If you check when it happened you could verify that I just lost my connection (frankly usually my wife did something that made the electricity fall down) as in most cases I was in a winning position.
Unfortunately my fibra takes 3-4 minutes to be in line again.
Thank you in advance
Have a nice day

If you don't move before game actually started - that's OK. You get a warning, but you cannot lose points.
Suggestion is to allow players to lose on time. That means that the other player has to wait. It is just retarted to allow someone to lose because they disconnected for 30 seconds

I too come here for the same reason. Have at least 2 games I lost in 2 days because of this.
And many more before. Where I am winning and then lose because of the abandonment.
The suggestion that the other player has to wait for my time to run out is a good start.
They will get points anyway if it happens.
It's 2021 now btw

Why not suggest how to improve things instead of your childish rants?
I am new and just had the same thing happening. Alongside the logical frustration, there is a concrete and easy to implement suggestion in this thread: "remove the extra abandonment timer" and let the standard clock do its job, i.e., players that are too slow run out of time.
I am not sure why this isn't fixed yet (or at least, why nobody motivated why the suggestion above is not appropriate)
