European flag as an option

Can someone tell me how I change the flag I've been given by the website? I used to have an International one, then suddenly it turned into a USA flag. How do I get my International one back? I have been unable to figure it out.
Hey, if you don't like America why don't you git out

This idea that Europe can be a swear word in the US is humorous. I've met many Americans, in fact 99.99% of those I've met, and we don't generally hate Europe or Europeans. Some people still seem to thing Germans are evil facists, but that's mostly with the older generations due to World War II. There are also some who still look at Russia as an evil empire due to the Cold War. Due to the crap with the UN when we went to war with afghanistan there was some animoisty towards the French, but that seems to have just been a fad. Anti-British sentiments have long been dead.
Your idea of state flags also has the ring of a joke. The US is not a loosely joined union like the EU. Those days ended in the late 1780's, and again in 1865. The Federal government has grown in power ever since.

If you can't figure it out, then maybe you got the right flag for you...
This takes an ugly turn. Mods, you should lock this.

I like the idea of flags to represent users, just to give the people I play a sense of where I live, and to find out where the people I'm playing are from. It's just fun to know I'm playing someone all the way across the world sometimes. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned. I see no reason not to put an EU flag as an option, though. I would think there would be a sizeable demand for that.

Lol, the French, always looking for more State control... ever heard about freedom of expression?

I will not answer to that kind of narrow-minded nationalism.
Are you sure you would really like a European flag ? From your comments you do not seem to be very open to other cultures...

Oh I am, I am. I like to make fun of every kind of nationalisms. The French are particularly hilarious in that respect.

I like how there's a neat light effect on the German flag in Live Chess. The upper black bar looks like being hit by some light source and I haven't noticed that anywhere else but on the German one. Also, the European flag looks IMO pretty boring. Twelve stars on a bland background, oooh, how original! They don't even keep track with the new member states, it's today a lot more than just twelve.
But I agree with OP: It should be an option, like the Wales or Earth flag.

Hmm, what makes you think I do not know what I am talking about?

I am a big fan of the European flag, beautiful stars on blue background. Also, 12 is not meant to represent number of member states, look it up.

You want us to throw commonplaces about Germany to your face ?
It's easy too, you know.
It's just as lame, but it's easy.

Lol, go ahead, I could really not care less.

I just did that ... This is an excerpt from Wikipedia:
The number of stars does not vary according to the members of either organisation as they are intended to represent all the peoples of Europe, even those outside the EU, but inside the CoE.
If that's the answer I was supposed to dig out, then it's even dumber than I imagined. Why twelve stars then? Why not any other arbitrary number like ... 4. Or 353. But why do I even care, it's not like this flag will remain forever. As soon a new world government emerges, we'll get a new one anyway.

I think all of the flags have a border. I think it's more noticeable with Germany due to the black.

The things said, obviously.

Obviously, but what exactly?

Staff should be made aware of the spiteful racist remarks flying around on this thread. It should definitely be closed before it gets any worse.

I wonder why there is no option to show nationality as European. I realize that Europe is a swear word in the US and in Britain, where most of the employees of this website are, but if Wales and Scotland can have their flag, I don't see why those who grew beyond the nationalistic phase should not be able to express their sense of belonging to the European project as well.
Of course, some might think there are other things to worry about on this site, like about the Android app not working or thematic tournaments being phased out, but still, a bit of listening by the management here on this issue would be nice.
still not got over it then?

As ignorant as Fox, as vacuous as USA Today and as superficial as CNN? My several years working in Chicago tell me otherise.
I don't quite understand what point you are trying to make here. All I am hearing is a bunch of ignorant statements. I have lived up in the Midwest too so I have seen the same media you are talking about. I have also been around the people and I don't see any animosity towards Europe. In fact, I would say that Americans as a whole quite frankly don't care what they do.
I would make a comment about the UN controlling the U.S., but I will just leave that on its own since it is just plain stupid.
Following on your line of thought, I would guess most Americans do not know Europe exists.
