Takebacks are a must-have indeed for having fun during friendly games. However, it's a debatable ethical issue among pros - to offer takebacks after obvious mouse slips or not. Some believe that handling the mouse properly is part of the game, others like to act noble and give the opponent a chance to make a normal move.
It really depends IMO. I would never exploit obvious "blunder/mouse slip/en-prise pieces" made by my online friends.
However, when you play against opponent you don't know, well, you will use the free opportunity unless I strongly feel that using the opportunity would be unsporty.
It is matter of personal preference though.
Hello chess.com community !
I would like to know if you can develop take backs function like "draw between two players".
Often I play with my friend and we learn together...we can't take back a move if we make a big mistake..what's the pity.
I would like to ask for a take back and if my opponent accept, the take back is validate.
Could you think about it please.
Best regards
