Here's a suggestion:  How about someone from chess.com actually respond to suggestions and their relative merits so that we're not all aimlessly raising crap in the HOPE that SOMEONE is listening.

My shortlist of things that are littered throughout the suggestions forums with no real direction:

- ability to disable premoves

- ability to set something like a "NOESCAPE" option

- ability to specify a minimum lag  (partic for live bullet matches)

Feedback is a two-way street.

May I use this quote in my conversations at home and at work?

Crazychessplaya - by all means

royalty free even... (liability free too, use with care :_)

I like premoves because they stop me from losing on time. Having a specification for no premoves games wouldn't be a bad idea.

Can you be more specific with the no escape option.

Specifying minimum lag would be good, but in live chess, you can check your opponents connection speed and abort if it is too low.

All of these points you have raised can be addressed by staff and with live chess undergoing an upgrade of sorts, hopefully these issues will be addressed. Smile

hi gambit13 - noescape is pretty simple.  As soon as you accept a challenge, its game on and leaving is akin resigning with points awarded - no matter the state of the game.

Its designed to stop the 2 or 3 move resigns from happening - and the disconnects.  If you disconnect you forfeit the game.  For people with lag issues, its harsh - but you know that upfront by accepting the challenge.

If you want a work-up on a solution for premoves - check this link  http://www.chess.com/forum/view/suggestions/making-premoves-optional-with-workflow

Hi EthicsGradient,

Noescape would be a good idea and I would support its implementation

Deranged

I support No Escape too.

The computer analysis feature is not working intermittently. Pressing the forward button keeps resetting back to the first move
