Games have crashed four times today

Hello: I have started four games in live chess today that became stuck. Google chrome opened a message box saying that the site was unresponsive and offered the choices of "kill" or "wait". I waited, and the site killed the game, and then apparently worked again, but towards the middle or end of each game, the same thing happened. is this a chess.com problem, a googlechrome problem, or is it my computer?

It's impossible to say without knowing more. You have played nearly 1700 games here, so we will assume you know how to play a game.

Did something change recently in your setup? Did you update a browser? Change how you connect? Anything?

The standard advice for any tecnical problem is a hard refresh (F5) and clearing your cache. Have you tried that?

It could be a number of things. If you have Flash enabled, I would disable it for the site; it is only needed for videos anyway.

Shockwave crashess are quickly resolved. Chess.com should not forfeit a player who has more time remaining than his opponent. Further they should not forfeit a game if the player has time remaining at  all.  If you have to spend your time reloading shockwave that is not really an intrusion on your opponent because they have agreed to the length of time for an opponents move.  Chess.com is being highly unfair and stupid.
