Welcome to the internet sir. :)
P.S.-You can delete messages on your notes.
It happens to us all low rated blitz players are the worst in my experience. Either ignore it or if you want to really get them going, be nice to them. For example, next time your accused of using an engine say thank you for comparing my play to a computer I had no idea I was that good! They get so mad lol

Just wondering ... why are you rated 1926 in standard and 1117 in blitz?
Because I live in the country and my connection stinks most of the time. Losing a minute or two in a 30 minute game isn't a big deal but in blitz it's basically a death sentence.
Thanks for the feedback. In some weird way it helps me blow them off when I hear it happens to others.
"Welcome to the internet" - ha, no kidding. You're right and I feel like a newbie even posting this. It's just that I thought for some naive reason that the 'royal game' would attract a more mature audience. Not that I am any saint, but I believe in good sportsmanship, and something sacred about chess in particular.
Re: ewq856 - I suffer from the same plight - living out in the country it's often a crap-shoot whether or not my connection will sustain blitz games at any given hour.
Love the game and the site, thanks
Trash talk is fine, I do that with my buddies. I guess we trash talk differently. It doesn't happen that often, it just always surprises me when it does. I think it's happened 6x in games where I forgot to turn off chat. I have 2 accounts (Kinglish and Javacado) and without checking a total of 6k+ games. And there's been 3 or 4 flame messages.
flacko, c'mon. the way I play? Other than flaming what could i possibly do to warrant such negativity? What one example can you come up with to back up your statement?
...I have 2 accounts (Kinglish and Javacado) and without checking a total of 6k+ games.
Just quoting this gem so it wont be lost.

why is that notable?
whatever, just a fact of life and some people just enjoy spreading negativity. I can ignore it.
But chess.com won't, having two accounts is against the rules.
I am often disabling chat but sometimes I forget and I get somebody who starts blasting really immature and disgusting hate messages at me, presumably to throw off my concentration. It's a total bully situation, and while disabling chat works I still feel like these low-lifes should feel some consequences. Then sometimes I get messages with flaming hate and totally bogus claims like I cheat or only play white and others. It just brings down an otherwise excellent website and game. Is it just me or do you all get this? As a webmaster I understand that a public website is prone to this kind of spam, but as a community I wonder if there is someway to identify and weed out the haters.
