I know I lost!

It seems like this site like to rub in the fact that I just lost a game. If I checkmate someone it jumps right to the next game, but if I resign it sits on that game as if I want to look at it anymore. And there is often an extra alert to tell me I've lost a game, and an email, I just resigned, why do I want an email about it? I know I lost, I'm trying to move on, but I have to make a couple extra clicks to move, not sure why.

You might get an e-mail to safeguard the fact that someone may be logging onto your account and  resigning for you. As for the rest, I do agree.

Perhaps the thinking behind this policy is that where you've lost a game, you are more likely to award a trophy than when you have won a game. Personally, I would rather it was consistent and stayed on the game - win or lose.

Maybe the game is just begging to be analysed?

When you lose, take it as an opportunnity to learn from it. I would analize the game, see what I did wrong, and learn.

Hay, what's wrong with sitting in the corner and crying till your mum says, 'there there, it'll be alright'.
