just happened again. perhaps the offenders don't realize they will get the loss anyway? think that the game will be suspended, adjourned, or deleted?
intentional disconnects

Lets just say they just punish you for beating them. Maybe some of them just got disconnected or maybe they actually rather have 'lost by time out' than to have 'resigned' or 'checkmated'. Yes they do it intentionally. I usually send these type of people a harsh message. Very rare do they reply!
i only join chess.com on the 20/3/11 to try and improve my game. I i'm still trying to find my way round chess.com. and how to operated it. i've play about 12 games of live chess and in the middle of a long game, and in over half the games i've play i keep having disconnetion promblems. Until i found this page i though it was just my computer. i don't know how anyone could pull a stunt like that and would like to hope most chess players are above that. its so annoying when it happens. maybe me being irish i'm a bit nai've. I'd rather play the computer than put up with that. P.S. if in any of my games where it happen when i was playing and by some chance i might have done something wrong pleace forgive me.
i see chess.com has same problem ICC has--players who intentionally disconnect in lost or unfavorable positions. i've played six games and 3 times 3 different players pulled the disconnect ploy. i see the remaining player will still get the win, but he must wait for the clock to count down (very annoying). any way to encourage members to do the right thing and just resign?
