link handling problem

Dear Staff!

I encountered a strange problem while placing links in posts. In the insert/edit link window there are options to adjust the target: open link in the same window and the open link in a new window. It is weird, but it seems that these options just don't work. Anyhow I try to adjust the open link in a new window option, the site totally forgets it, and the link opens in the same window like this one. Later, when I check it in the edit post mode, it seems that no adjustement happened.  If I try to adjust it again, the same thing happens again. The link opens in the same window.

I know it is a minor problem, but rather disturing for me, and perhaps for you as well, because this way the users - clicking on the link - unintentionally navigate away from the site which creates unnecessary inconvinience.

The staff doesn't read more than a tiny fraction of all the posts in all the forums as far as I can tell. Click on Help & Support at the bottom of the page to contact them directly.
