yes exactly the method may have been dubious but the outcome was beneficial, in other words we can sometimes do the "wrong thing" for the "right reason."
Correct in that the beneficiaries of what bad things are happening are actually better off than before in the grand scheme

yes I have seen some ladies on this platform subject to horrendous abuse and I suspect that you have too. Would you personally reprimand the person for having said it?
I would at least have a pm message sent to them stating what things they have done and to chip up

Be helpful in the forums: help people find answers to their questions, demonstrate patience and a sense of humour, and the next time Chess.com is looking for moderators, they might invite you. They don't invite people who have no track record of such helpfulness.
I've done all of that. Me and greekgift are both 13 and are in a lot of forums trying to help out. I don't need to become a moderator though. Although I like helping chess.com anyway.
