VKJ will like it when the Robots take over. They are far more modern.

His constant shilling of V3 makes me think he's been given a free membership for his "support"...otherwise, if he's so happy and V3 is nirvana, why come on here?
I revert to v2 once in while just to check out the photo albums. I cringe every time I do.
?
Because once you get used to V3, going back to V2 feels like looking at pictures of yourself from the 80s.
lol i know, but i was asking about the photo albums (i highlighted it)
Photo albums have been discontinued in V3 in favor of offsite storage. But since they still exist on V2, I check them out occasionally by logging onto V2.
During the industrial revolution there were some who disliked the new machines and the new way of life. They rebelled and destroyed machines and factories.
The word "luddite" refers to a person who is opposed to technological change. The term is derived from a group of early 19th century English workers who attacked factories and destroyed machinery as a means of protest. They were supposedly led by a man named Ned Ludd, though he may have been an apocryphal figure.

Simply because others aren't enamored with V3 doesn't mean they deserve your arrogant rant VKJ.
Try to keep your bovine scatology in OD.
Quite right, Be3, the man is an apologist for the V3 disaster and pretends to know about "technology".
The V3 debacle is about a poorly designed UI and bad design/coding, nothing else.
"The V3 debacle is about a poorly designed UI and bad design/coding, nothing else."
Do you say the same about the general trend to make website look like smart phones and maybe about smart phones as well?

No, I don't, can't see the correlation.
V3 was launched to use more modern technologies which are easier to maintain and make the look/feel of the site look more contemporary ... i.e. a bit more like the look/feel on a smart phone. As well as to launch new and more features.

I'm sorry, but that makes no sense at all; no "more modern technologies" have been used and the new features are esoteric, to say the least.
The javascript and css is more modern in V3 than V2 and the underlying architecture and design patterns in the code are as well.
I've used V3 for years. Works fine for me.
V2 looks old and ugly.
The main thing, AFAIK, is some people on old browsers or tablets, phones, etc, don't have full functionality. I don't know anything about that because I don't use 17 year old operating system (I loved windows XP, so I understand).
Windows XP is no longer getting security updates. It's a really bad idea to be going online with Windows XP. You could easily end up running all kinds of malware.

Yeah, at the end there I got some pretty ridiculous viruses and malware. I finally went to windows 10.

Typical microsoft. They finally get one OS right, and decide not to support it.

I must say, I'm not a huge fan of Windows 10. It would be better if updates would install properly in one of the first 25 attempts, though...
I've got my wife set up with Ubuntu. I need Windows for work, though.

As with most everyting microsoft, 10 is a security flawed nightmare. Why they think a new OS should be all bells and whistles, and not much substance i have no idea.
I still have a laptop running XP, and i have never installed a single windows update. Never had an issue with it.

XP, with no updates? That's another security nightmare... You might get lucky, especially if you're careful about what sites you visit, but there have been instances of high-profile sites getting compromised and used to spread malware, and old OSs have a huge number of security holes to be exploited.

I am extremely careful. I disable all unnecessary background services, and any other needless microsoft useless piece of...you know what. AS long as your careful, keep your anti-virus, malware, etc. upated youre fine.
Vinyl record sales hit a 20 year high recently, while retailers are talking of discontinuing the sale of CDs.
