Polls in forums

I like the survey feature ... But only chess.com staff can create survey questions. I'd love to be able to include a survey/poll in a forum posting. One cool application would be a game analysis poll -- what would you do in this situation, with 3 or 4 moves to choose from and maybe a tactical or strategic justification/plan showing why the move might be good. After making a choice/ vote, the results page could then show the voting results to date, and indicate which move was made in the actual game.

As I understand it, vote chess is a live game where the members of two teams vote on a move to be made and the move getting the most votes is actually made.   What I'm referring to in the example is a game analysis feature.  I.E. going through a master/instructive game that has already been played, and letting forum members "guess" what move was made in the actual game.  The original poster could present a list of candidate moves, the readers could select their choice, and then see what move was actually made in the real game.  And see how their choice stacked up against what other members thought would be the best move -- with bar charts showing the most popular choices (from the set of choices provided by the poster), in a similar format as the staff-posted surveys do now.

Maybe you could suggest surveys for the staff to post.

To go through an entire game of 30+- moves would be 30 different survey questions. The staff wouldn't have time or inclination for all that work...but interested users might. I would :)

Sounds like a puzzle which we've got.

Here's an example of what I had in mind - how one might use a polling feature to add value to a forumn post: http://www.chessplans.com. Let me know what you think!
