I also miss this functionality a lot.
The only option i have seen and used but which NEVER led to anything was: you can post a comment on a game in progress [ comment is hidden for players till the end of the game] and if people also add a comment to that game, you will be notified. I never got notified.
I do not mean game discussions/comments. What I mean is the ability to follow a Daily Game in-progress and get notified when there is a new move. I would definitely love to see such a feature on this site.
