as far as I know, they now have a system where they record the number of disconnects / flags of users to help prevent this type of abuse.
rude play

We've talked about this before, too easy for the system to be abuse, just get a thicker skin move on and play another game btw you cant tell the other person to resign you win is a win still.

I agree with you eric. I get extremely irritated by such behaviour, and it happens all the time, it's such appalling sportsmanship. There are plenty of other behaviours that warrant banning even. A flagging system would be ideal I think. Naturally it would be abused by those players, but there must be ways around it.
I often have players disconnect once they know they have lost, I take their queen, etc. Of course, a curteous player would resign first. There should be a way to turn this behaviour in. If say, 5 people flag you as this and it is verified, then your account is suspended. Something like that. Otherwise, you either have to resign the game to the jerk that disconnected on purpose, or wait for the clock to time out. Similar situation is true when player doesn't disconnect, just stops playing. A challenge button, like "confirm you are there" or a maximimum per inning of 2 minutes could be an option.
