Saying "Hello" and "Thanks for the game".

Hello.
I don't have anything against the website, just against the Players here. I only play Live games and not a single person says Hello at the beginning or thanks at the end. The players here aren't polite at all. I used to play Go at gokgs.com and almost everyone there did it. It's just normal to do so.  Is it because Go seems to be a more majestic game? Or because a game can't be finished so quickly and is therefore more important to the players?
What I particularly notice there is the presence of the Admins. Everyone can call them, because everyone can send him a personal message. He is always visible, because Admins are marked with a star behind their names.
But here it's impossible to call an Admin during a game. If one player gets insulted, all he can do is close the chat. There's a constant lack of respect. And there is no way to report a Player. All one can do to avoid that one Person again is to block him. But then, there comes the next one.
I'd like to have the option to report a Player, who is disrespectful against other players. I don't like to play against them.
That's all I have to say for now.
Thanks.

I doubt that the staff would do anything except giving warnings. I'd like them to remove those players, even if only temporary.
And I guess Chess Players are just more impolite then Go Players. Seeing how sarcastic you answer, you're just an example for lack of respect.

Then I apologize.

90% of the users here are A-holes. I had some idiot actually start laughing at me when I missed a tactic earlier. Absolute scumbags. I'd like to see some of these snot nosed geeks laugh to my face and see how quick they get knocked the F out. If I had a chess club within reasonable driving distance, I'd never play online again.

90% are ...? You have some issues.

I don't play because around 75% are a-holes. But surely not 90%...

I have receieved a lot of crap from players here too, so I now have chat disabled. You might want to consider doing the same. If you love chess, it's just the moves that matter.

Hello everyone! Have a nice day!

Why are there so many mentally egotistic and respect-demanding people here?

Fine. Laughing at people is wrong etiquette in a chess game, but you can mute the chat and report them.

And yes, you can report members. And members do get muted or banned.

one thing i find is the counter ticking at move 1 in live , means the pressure is on to move before it aborts , so i tend to say hello on move two , although this can be distracting and would be frowned upon in otb chess , however live cc chess is why i do it that wauy , at match end win or lose its true a well played or good game is respectful as we both wanted a good chess game and this can get rematches , but sometimes esp a loss and you just want to go away and lick your wounds

@LethalRook_1892  No, I can't report members. I can only block them. that's the kind of useless answer we get here. That's my Problem. And @ChessTroll2 Yes, I agree with everything you said.

Hello

devanpareek

Thanks

I don't usually chat at the start of the game (time pressure and all that), but think it's respectful and polite to stick around and chat afterwards. Some people are just mainlining blitz and bullet games and can't be bothered to talk though.
