Suggestion for New Daily Challenge Timers

I think one of the Chess.com community's best features is daily games, which allow people like me to keep in touch with faraway friends while playing our favorite game together in the process.

One common critique of the daily challenges I've noted are the game time options. Many of us are comfortable making one move per day, but there are often instances where the 24-hour timer fails for this pace. For example: Player 1 moves at 7am on Monday. Player 2 moves at 8am on Monday. Player 1 wakes up late at 8am on Tuesday to find that he's forfeited the game, and goes to work in a ball of rage.

After many frustrating accidental resignations, I've primarily had to switch to 3-day timers. This can really stagnate games, as often times when someone loses a line advantage, they wind up procrastinating difficult or unpleasant subsequent moves.

I understand the Chess.com team can only offer a limited number of options for the interface, but I think finding a middle ground between these two move timers would satisfy a large unseen demand in the service that will have users coming back with much greater frequency and satisfaction. Two possible options would be a 36-hour or 2-day timer, potentially substituting for either the 5- or 10-day timers.

Have any other users out there had similar issues when playing daily games? Or maybe have other solutions for this problem to consider? If so, please add to the discussion and voice your support. I'd love for this to gain some traction so the Chess.com team takes notice.
