Hi, I'm playing several games with a guy from Paris. It would be nice if, when we set up our game, or friendship, we could specify that we'd like our Chat messages automatically translated from English to French and vice versa.
I could post in English, he's get it in French (possibly with the English version visible as well if he wishes), and he'd post in French and I'd see English.
I believe you could use Google Translate to do the translation for you fairly easily from a technical perspective, and the pricing is reasonable.

The main problem is that any interface like that would slow down an already problematic interface (for many non-US users). A second problem is that Google Translate requires active work to make sense of many translations.
I just used it the other day to help translate a rant from French. He called the management here "little tramps". 
(Actually he used the term "charlots" which Google had no idea on how to translate. It is term which was popular in French to compare someone to Charlie Chaplin's tramp character.)
It has a lot of trouble with special jargon (like that used by chessplayers or film buffs.) and it is completely flummoxed by the relaxed spelling used by many people online.
For now, you could set up a separate window and try it out with your French opponent. See how it works.

Google Translate says:
Good game and a board , do not stay on chess.com c is really the big humbug you regress
