Ads help the site financially. Be a paying member (although I'm not) to get rid of the ads.
I know the scam. In general, all websites slow internet speed by a bombardment of ads. Do you really think most of the people want to support X or just make a buck?

be thankful yes. they dont spam with any ads from porn sites full of the internet STD's and virus's padawan, yet. Ads are just an extension of who you are. go ask Tom while hes being himself if you dont believe it.

Very true. This is a very considerate and safe website in that respect.
But, still, just to be on the safe side, it never hurts to utilize a digital condom when chessing with strangers.
I have one on even as i type this, despite the fact that i'm a paying member. Can't be too careful -- digital herpes is no joke, people.

But I treat your sure, that my assumption was correct. No, you are completely wrong. Everyone here is supporting the site financially. Thinking the opposite is blending out obvious facts, for example the TOS, which contains a lot of text regarding the way everyone is supporting the site.

I didn't analyze things at all, just pure facts:
- Thread is rigged due to missing entry post which you want me to tell you, ridiculous requesting this knowing its deleted.
- TOS --> Tons of Advertising --> Financial Support.
- You didn't clearly state whether you think non-paid is financial support or not, hence one has to take the more likely case
And another fact, no analyzing, is that supporting via Ads or paid subscription is both of a financially kind. Many people think only paid subscription is of that way which is naive and wrong.

beside the spamming kids who are not able understand the topic so many user use an ad-blocker and it worked great so far. In the end complaining about ads is ridiculous, read the TOS and you'll see that every user is helping the site financially, no need to be a paid user to help out. That's fair for the site and the user as well.
