I often forget whether I'm playing with an increment or not.
I hope that agreeing with this will bring it to the attention of staff.
It is visible in the chat box on the right.

No reason why the time control should have to be in the chat window. Disabling chat is the standard advice for dealing with abusive players so one shouldn't be punished for doing so, by not being able to see the time control!
