I agree that all players should be given notice before a tournament starts that the director has removed the "no vacation" parameter. This would allow those who do not want to play in a tournament with "vacation" to withdraw without penalty. Seems every time vacation is allowed, one player will perpetually be on vacation dragging things out for a year. So, I agree with you, itaipee.
Tournament owner cannot remove "no vacation"

it happend to me twice - I joined "no vacation" tournament , and then it opened - it turned out to be regular tournament. Usually you will found it up only in the middle when one player take vacation.
It is not fair
tour' owner uses the no-vacation to gather players - remove the no-vacation , and then players start play dirthy
Once you open tournament - you should not be able to change its terms - at list warn the user before it starts
