It's not advertisement, it's healthy competition. And the good PR would seem to certainly outweigh any downside. Just one man's opinion. Thanks for responding.

Well the worse of the two sites, chessworld.net, would not want to lose players to a site with far more feautures

The one that has substantially more players would win.  You wouldn't pit a 4A school against a 5A in football.

Maybe not though.

Can't agree with you there Eberulf. I don't know what the numbers are, but I feel certain that numbers alone would not be decisive in such a game.
