Another newbie question. On tournament page a listing is titled format such as 5->1. Please explain. thanks !

i don't know, but could you type in bigger letters so people with eye problems can see it

i just found out. 5 is the group size and 1 is the number of people that advance from each group

Thanks! It's alot easier then calvinball. I wondered why the font was so big when typing. Hope this is better

There also MIGHT be a + sign after, something like 5->1+, which would mean the tournament does NOT use tiebreaks, so potentially more than 1 may advance.

Oh I'm sure there is LOTS more features to build onto it. This is just a good start.

I think this is not the end of the tournament. If you are winner of your group, you have to play another round until there is no more rounds left.

There will be in a futuer the option of selecting either round robin or swiss system for a tournament? 

Also, you can use these four tie-breaking systems:

  1. Modified Median
  2. Solkoff
  3. Cumulative
  4. Cumulative opponent's score.
They are recommended by USCF.
