not all tournaments are listed in upcoming tournaments section
over 100s of tournaments are created every minute on chess.com
its not possible to list them all , chess.com automatically selects few and displays them

if I understood You correctly, then the answer is this - the tournament by invitation will be visible only by the link and (or) when it ends. in fact, this is the rule for all "closed" tournaments. Oh yeah, and I warn You right away that there are often bugs. for example, the next round does not start, etc.
I created a Daily tournament a few days ago called the 'Masters of the Squares - II'. While looking for it in the 'Upcoming daily tournaments' list, I found that I can't see my tournament when I sift through the upcoming tournaments if the filter is set to 'registered players' or 'starting date'. Eg. If the filter is set to the former, and I have 10 players registered in my tournament so far, the list goes on to tournaments with 11, 10, then, 9, then 8 registered players in other tournaments, but my tournament is not listed amongst them. I have registered for the tournament myself, have disabled the 'This is an invite only tournament' button, and fall within the rating range, so those are sorted. I noticed that this is happening probably for everyone else too because the only players to join are through personal invites, and maybe nobody else can see the tournament at all. Anybody has any idea about this?
Note: The tournament still exists and I can see it if I go to 'My tournaments' filter.
