You do.
No points when you win on time?

If you are talking about those two online games that you won recently after three moves then I think you have to play four moves each before it counts. Your games started from a pre-arranged position so they say seven moves each but you only both played three moves in each game. I could be wrong but this is the only explanation I can think of and it fits the bill.

For a timeout to be rated there has to be at least 3 and a half moves.

daveyp's rating remained 1641 after a three move timeout win but increased to 1642 after a 3 and a half move timeout win.

A "rated game" starts to be rated when:
* One of the two players has made his fourth move
(Reason: Normally, ratings reflects wins on the board. For that, it is reasonable to say that a minimum number of moves needs to have been made before letting the result affect the rating )
A tournament game or a team match game starts to be rated when:
* the game starts, i.e. such games are also rated when they end with zero moves made
(Reason: In tournaments or team matches, the game results affect other people. So the importance of the games is increased there by rating also the games with zero moves played.)
Sometimes, there are players who are inactive and have lost a lot of games on time while going inactive. After some of these games lost on time this way, the rest of their games lost on time are no longer counted as rated even when they are tournament games or team match games.
(Reasons: noone would reasonably want to gain points from not playing at all in such cases, and it would be sometimes a little strange to play with players underrated by more than thousand points or so when they become active again.)
Hi, I was just wondering why I get no points when my opponent looses on time?
