Did the third close his account then later request it be re-opened?
Without knowing who the third is, i can't check fully on this.

Ah. The player's name is kid_of_chess. If he closed and re-opened his account, I'm not aware of it.
This is not an urgent question, truth be told; merely a curiosity.
This is the tournament: http://www.chess.com/tournaments/players.html?id=30478
This is player #3: http://www.chess.com/members/view/kid_of_chess

This question is for anybody who knows the answer (staff, etc.). Three players in the tournament I'm directing show "Removed" as their status. However, I was under the impression that "Removed" only appeared in the following circumstances:
1) The player's account is closed for cheating, or for any other reason; or
2) I remove the player myself.
One player closed his account voluntarily, and another was cited for cheating, so that accounts for those two players. But the third player's account is still open, and I didn't remove him. If a player withdraws from the tournament, I had thought the status would show "Withdrawn" instead of "Removed." Why do the standings show that this player has been removed, even though I didn't remove him? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!
