Well the reason is obvious, they don't want people who don't play their games to join the tournys, thus holding up the entire tourny. I am sympathetic to your position though...best to start those 180 games soon. Doubt there's anything you can do about it.

Why cant you play in a tournament when your timeout ratio is too high I once forgot to set my status on vacation and lost 18 games on time so now I have to wait till I played 180 games(10% timeout) to join tournaments again.
