The Slow LIVE Chess Association (SLCA) is one of the very first clubs on ChessDOTcom to seriously organize slow LIVE tourneys with a large increment. We play Negotiated Games, ones for which the paired players must agree upon a day & time to play. For this to work well, a Protocol of Discussion and some rules must be complied with. Keep reading!

Our tournaments are typically 1, 3 or 5 rounds SWISS at time control 45m+45s. We use 1 - 3 round Qualifiers to enable our new members to later join our Regular 5 round events. Our next Qualifier starts on July the 14th of 2025, but you may even sign up for the current one and start from R2 or R3. See the descriptions below. Note that our events are open to players rated 500 and up.
