2 New Chess Mentor Courses from FM Eric Schiller!
Chess.com has commited to releasing at LEAST one new course every month for Chess Mentor. In January you got awesome new courses from IM Jeremy Silman and one from our very own Bill Wall (both EXCELLENT courses!!).
For February we are releasing two new courses from acclaimed author FM Eric Schiller (who has written more than 100 chess books!!). Schiller has written some VERY important courses to help scholastic players and those who are new to the game get some very strong opening weapons - both for OFFENSE and DEFENSE!
One course is: First Chess Openings for White
In this course you will study some KEY classic chess openings like Morphy's Gambit, Two Knights, Evans Gambit, the Sicilian Defense, and many others! If you don't know openings very well, then START HERE!
The next course is: First Chess Openings for Black

Yes, I am the guy who started Chess.com (along with Jay, Igor, Piotr, and many others). I have 3 amazing daughters, one wild son, and a wonderful, patient wife! I learned chess when I was 8 years old. Since then I have been playing, studying, and enjoying it regularly. I prefer semi-open and closed positions that blow up tactically (like the Closed Sicilian, King's Indian, Glek etc).
