Football Fans, Chess Fans, Fans of Both
As a previous or current opposition player against our club we invite you to our Summer World Cup Open Tournament. From Ajax to Zenit, Bournmouth to Qarabagh come and be our guests and meet fans and friends we have enjoyed matches against this season.
Starting on 14 June with the kick off in Russia play along with chess and talk football or whatever you want. This is a fun and social tournament to meet fellow competitive fans.
The only tournament where having the TV on with a live match, cracking open a beer, making the odd mistake is not only expected but encouraged.
Extra kudos for adding a kebab, a takeaway, or a barbecue on the go
Tell us what you are having for dinner, its the Football Facebook

Hope you are all enjoying your games. I have a plan for all Friends. of Brighton and Hove Albion. If all participants crowd fund me say 40 GBP each, I will happily go along and represent us all.I have plenty of vacation to use and we are all friends arent we.Any Russian players living nearby, can you recommend a hotel or do you have a room spare.I can be flexible when I go but if we all act quickly I can catch the Panama - Tunisa game next Thursday, and an extra few pounds, will allow you all to be represented by me for Iran Portugal on Monday. No need to thank me, I dont mind
FIDE Meets FIFA
Going to the World Cup later this month? That doesn't mean you have to forget about your roots.
Fans attending matches in Saransk, home of 2000 Russian Champion GM Sergey Volkov, need only to head down to Pushkin Park for games with local players.
Not only will Saransk chess teams take on tourists, but the local football club will also host some matches.
