This is a "No Vacation" tournament!
The October GeoChess is for players with ratings between 1400 and 1800. In this month's edition, there is a 33% advance rate with small-sized groups (3(2)->1) and so you'll begin with four simultaneous games per round. Only players with more than 100 games, less than an average of 12 hours per move, and less than a 3% time-out rate may join. This is also a premium-only tournament and there is no vacation time. Chess.com automatically boots players with ratings too high at the beginning of the tournament, and so I'll manually boot high ratings that are too high the day or so before the tournament begins in an attempt to get to a clean number (without two-player groups to start with).
I'm planning on setting up a new tournament dedicated to a different country every month on the 15th.
This tournament will not start until October 15th, 2018. The tournament does not auto-start if it fills before then (so that players can plan on a starting date). I may delay it one or two days following the 15th if it needs to fill.
