White still maintains an advantage. Play it until you get a little bored with it and then try something else.

It was good enough for world champions like Fisher, Capablanca and Lasker. It should be okay for you :)
lol u spelled desprite the wrong way
And you just spelled it the same way. It's "desparate."
Somebody, please get a dictionary?
This thread apparently contains disparate spellings.
P.S. The OP is German, so I gave him a pass on this.
At the OP's level (my level isn't much better, btw), it doesn't matter, as long as it isn't a blunder. Any accepted variation is fine. He'll be out of his book very quickly anyway.
I am so desprite. Every chess player or the most of them says: The ruy lopez exchange Variation is a waek opening. This opening gives black good chances to win the game. This Variation is a opening for players below 1000 elo. etc. But I love this opening. The structure is healthy and I like this kind of play. I feel safety in this opening. It does not exist an opening where I feel better as in the ruy Lopez exchange Variation. So what should I play?
The Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation, obviously.
The whole object of the opening phase is to reach a middle-game in which you feel comfortable.
"Desperate" is what a person seeking shelter from an incoming tornado might be. Or loooking for a job to feed his starving family. "Desprite" seems about right for someone who has doubts about the strength of his opening repertoire.
or maybe it was just reverse physchology to get people to read the question...
