How about automatic forced moves? Players could toggle the option to let their pieces move automatically when only one legal move exists. I'm always annoyed when I have to wait a week to play a three-move forced mate.

 Use the conditional move option!

I think the request was to avoid having to recreate opening conditional move lines for every game by having an opening repetior saved and providing the ability to apply one at the beginning of a game by selecting from your library.

Open Analysis Board - For just analysing from scratch

Group Tournaments - No need for creating normal tournaments for groups. Instead make a group tournament

Custom Fun Trophies - Your own trophie to give to someone

Live Forum - A live version of the forums for posting live like in live chess but with topics and all(This is not that important)

Live Chess - Automatic Move - Only possible legal move done automatically and message says Auto Move in RED.

Group List with Rating - A list of your group with ratings and also simple version of it.-->

Simple Version - Some pages have a simple button which removes all the images and changes to text - like above in groups rating so you just copy and paste, no need for doing one by one.

Why is it that when I go to :

Chess.com Feature Request and Wishlist #4", that all of the posts are sequential in time or what is called chronological?

And when I go to Forums -> My Posted In Topics, all is in shambles, 17 hours ago, 3 days ago, 2 minutes ago, 40 minutes ago!

What is going on ? can someone explain the rhetorics or the logic behind it?

There is a simple explanation. The initial bunch of topics are ALL the ones that have been pinned to the top of the list - stuck threads in the parlance of chess.com. There are currently 4 of these, and they are arranged chronologically - newest first. Notice the blue map pin icon. The key to these icons appears at the base of each page.

Next come the other topics you have posted in. Again these are arranged chronologically - newest first.

Why have auto-move in live chess? It takes time to move a piece and that should be reflected on a person's clock. I can possibly see having it in turn based to help the game keep moving along, but it makes no sense for live chess.

OK, heres another suggestion....can we not have 'only moves' played automatically? this would save frustrating waits in games where your opponent only has 1 legal move, but you still give him/her 3 or 5 days 'thinking time' hehe, if theres only 1 move no need to think! also this would speed up games where the opponent is playing on in hopeless positions, because for instance in a QK v K ending, you may be able to mate in 5 or 6 without your opponent there :-)

I wish I could flip the board (put black on bottom) when I'm observing a game in Live Chess.

One of my main problems is when I make a premove on a LIVE game. Where for instance my piece may capture if another takes the piece it is defending, if I decide to take back this pre-move (before the other player has moved), I am stuck and unable to do so..

Ooouch!

All boards to support touch play - rather than some boards e.g. the tactics trainer, only supporting drag'n'drop play.

Touch play is much better for touch-screens.

thanks,

I think it would be great if we had an "under 18" tournament, or something similar. We could even have them across the whole range of ages, I just think It would be great to play against people my age, and see how I compare.

TheGrobe

You are able to create your own tournaments -- there should be no reason you can't set this up yourself if you'd like to.

Stop bro, I'm over 130 & I don't need a reminder!

RandomPrecision

Just minor - I don't think it's thread-worthy by itself.

The 'average rating' displayed in tournaments is the average of everyone's current rating, but the displayed rating by every player in the standings or pairings is the rating they had when they joined the tournament.

This seems inconsistent - I think the displayed rating should update as it changes, or else the average rating should be the average of the initial ratings.

Wouldn't it be nice to search members by town and state, or at least by

town.  It sure would make it easier to set up OTB games instead of lurking

around coffee shops.

The block feature is very useful when dealing with rude users. Unfortunately, this does not seem to block them everywhere - it doesn't stop them from observing games and leaving comments during the game, for example.

If user A blocks user B then:

  • A should not see messages from B in any rooms
  • B should not be able to start a private chat with A in live chess
  • B should not be able to challenge A (in live or main site)
  • A should not be able to accept seeks from B (in live or main site)
  • B should not be able to accept seeks from A (in live or main site)
  • B should not be able to observe A's games in live chess
  • B should not be able to message A via the main site
  • B should not be able to leave notes on A's profile

I'm sure most of these are already implemented, but the more persistent troublemakers do seem to still find ways to share their obscenities, so there are a few gaps.

Thanks
