I'd like to be able to start subsequent rounds of tournaments before the previous round is entirely completed.

There are cases where players are still playing, but their games have absolutely no impact on who is going to advance to the next round. Why hold up the tournament because Joe Shmoe is hanging on to a losing position for twenty moves? It will also take off any pressure on the late stragglers. When winners of all groups are clearly identified, get 'er on!

The algorithm for this should not be too difficult in most cases.

I have another one. Conditional move message for when a player does a move you send him a message like"Can we draw now" or "I think it's a win for me".

I would go for conditional draw offers or acceptances only, no free text. There's no need for discussion. You shouldn't be trying to pursuade your opponent.

This is a small suggestion, mainly because I'm worried that my opponents are impatient with waiting for me to make a move when I'm online, but when I'm really not online (e.g. out of the computer). Make an idle antenna, something like the one with Live Chess.

You could bulid a thermometer type of icon. if it's "hot" they've been active recently. As it gets closer to 20 minutes, it gets "colder."

I don't think the suggestion was to adjudicate the games that were holding up the tournament.  By all means, let them continue, but if they're not going to have any impact on who advances, then why not proceed with the next round simultaneously?

As this post is like the candy boxes on the shelf in front of the general store cashier in the 50"s.

I will ask for more candies and why not?

Suggestions:

1. E-mail confirmation.

2. My own personalized mail address book so I can put in all the members that I wish to and I can send a message to several members all at once. I am waiting for this to participate in tournaments, I realize that I can do without but I have my own stubborn stand.

3. Chessboard position analysis, have a matrix or a base piece selection where one can select black and white pieces and put them on a main board, with a drag and drop move, as a starting position and ask for what to play, in other words the best move.

Many people on forums on this site ask: what should I have played? What is the best move? What would you do? etc

They then could discuss  the computer analysis suggestion .... what if I played? and they could check their alternative before they submit their post, we would then have a more educated question.

4. Have the choice to select the order of players we will respond to their move. I always try to keep the people I like most to respond at the end so we could have a conversation going on while I think about the move she/he responds to illico.

Exactly. This will let them continue playing with no pressure at all.

I'm not sure if this falls under 'add themes to tactics trainer', I wonder if it would be difficult to programatically label the tactics problems by motif (not visible to the user obviously), and keep stats based on motif along with displaying those stats on the tactics trainer homepage for a user. Then people could see what motifs they need the most work on.

How about automatic forced moves? Players could toggle the option to let their pieces move automatically when only one legal move exists. I'm always annoyed when I have to wait a week to play a three-move forced mate.

Why is it that when I go to :

Chess.com Feature Request and Wishlist #4", that all of the posts are sequential in time or what is called chronological?

And when I go to my posted topics forums all is in shambles, 17 hours ago, 3 days agfo, 2minutes ago , 40 miCutes ago!

What is going on ? can someone explain the rhetorics or the logic behind it?

I think the request was to avoid having to recreate opening conditional move lines for every game by having an opening repetior saved and providing the ability to apply one at the beginning of a game by selecting from your library.

Open Analysis Board - For just analysing from scratch

Group Tournaments - No need for creating normal tournaments for groups. Instead make a group tournament

Custom Fun Trophies - Your own trophie to give to someone

Live Forum - A live version of the forums for posting live like in live chess but with topics and all(This is not that important)

Live Chess - Automatic Move - Only possible legal move done automatically and message says Auto Move in RED.

Group List with Rating - A list of your group with ratings and also simple version of it.-->

Simple Version - Some pages have a simple button which removes all the images and changes to text - like above in groups rating so you just copy and paste, no need for doing one by one.

can the colomn and row ids (letters, numbers) be made a little clearer on the normal play board. My old eyes find the small characters embeded in the board and sometimes obscured by pieces very difficult to read. Consequently i have on occasion made the wrong move and lost a game.

Can i suggest a black border araound the board with clear characters displayed.

alternatively some kind of move confirmation in the form of from square, to square as used on most other chess sites.
