It would be great to have the ability post polls for threads that you create. What do you think?
I would like to create a small survey for one of my teams but I can't, why? There are surveys on the main page of chess.com but why can't premium members create their own polls or surveys?
I think it would be a useful addition to an already wonderful website.
It's item #22 on Erik's latest (unprioritised) Wishlist ...
User-generated polls (and embeddable in forums)
Chess.com Feature Request and Wishlist #4
It's #6 on the (unordered) list of Forum Annoyances ...
Lack of a good survey tool (tally-forum-annoyances-ii)
xMenace cited a diabetes site as an example of more colourful survey presentation ...

Baseballfan's discussion about surveys (Help make Chess.com even better! - Trophys and Surveys!, post #99) contained this observation about the limitations of current surveys ...
Regarding surveys, the only option currently available is a discrete, multiple-choice variable (radio buttons). Could support for numbers be added? This would be much more natural for surveys such as: How many chess.com groups do you belong to?
A further refinement would be to collect TWO items of information e.g.
In how many games have you RESIGNED?
WHAT is your rating?
This would enable some interesting correlations to be made.

We have just launched a new feature: chess surveys!
We'll soon be adding the ability for anyone to insert a survey into an article, blog, forum post, etc!
Let us know if you like it! :)
New Chess.com Feature: SURVEYS!
Well ... great minds think alike. Looking forward to the update of chess.com including the anticipated surveys for premium members.
Never forget: "soon" on chess.com can be like a thousand days - and a day can be like 1440 minutes.
A workaround is to use a 3rd party application such as SurveyBob.
are two instances of SurveyBob surveys.
Bump. The ability to create a poll within a post is a great idea!
