Guess the rating!

I think these kinds of posts are fun.  Not just rating but also try guessing ages, temperments, etc., based off your playing experience on who tends to do what (e.g., "I think they're 1500 rated children because while they demonstrate some competency they're quite optimistic with a tactical bent to their play")

game one I am going to say 1700-1900 middle age vs 2000-2100 young adult (18-25) ?

ChessinBlackandWhite

based on opening choice, choice of plans, execution of plans, and the way in which it was ultimatly won by black

ChessinBlackandWhite

game two im saying 1800-1900 vs 1800-1900 since it was a closed sicilian but both players seemed a little awkward at time with their piece coodination?

game three im going to say both are at least 2200 based on the opening and the way it simplified, and that they agreed to a draw there, when there is still a lot of room for error

final game im going to saw 1800-2100 vs 2250+ based on the way black won the endgame? but as with all of them it is so hard to tell haha

1:  Really low... like 1200... at least white.  Black seems higher, maybe 1600 ish?

2:  Much better game.  2000ish?  Hard to say, maybe master level but of course I can't tell when it goes that high.

3:  Feels pretty high again, don't feel like I can guess very well for this one.

4:  Feels 1800ish.

I think it's impossible to guess age heh.

Game 3 was Judit Polgar vs. Smyslov.

game 4 was Vidmar vs. Tartakower.  Tartakower was the third best endgame player for his time according to Reti behind Rubinstein and Capablanca, though is most famous for his name showing up against bigger luminaries such as Nimzowitsch, Lasker, Alekhine, and Capablanca.

Game 2 was me as white with my 1600 rated friend as black and he got into time trouble but it was a 40 minute per side sparring game.
