I have a question.  Many times I will set up a new game in live chess.  Someone will accept the game, I make my first move and they abort before even making one move.  It is a standard game.  I play white and I move to E4.  Any thoughts why they do this?

I see this constantly too. One time, a guy did this to me three times in a row... I just chalk it up to network lag or a dropped/spotty connection. Hopefully this will go away (except when people do it intentionally) once they upgrade Live.

It usually is because they hit on the the wrong game by mistake. the list of games available changes so quickly sometimes, it's easy to click on the wrong game.

I have a question regarding with live chess. I lost my previous game in live chess. My opponenet won on time, but he has only a bishop and king left. That's not enough material to mate. If I play like that in FICS server, it is a draw. Which one is the correct chess rule?

Harsh, but technically, there is enough material to mate IF black helps.

Because of this, in an official game, it's a win for white because you lost on time.

Thanks, how about if my opponent has a bishop and king left. I have only a king and my time run out. I have no chance to help my opponent to mate me. Am I still lost with that position or draw.

Under regular rules, that's a draw - "insufficient mating material" even with help.  In an OTB tournament game, you could even claim the draw on that basis before your time ran out.

▲ Agreed with that.  If you had a lone king, it's a draw.  Not sure if Live Chess would see it that way though?
