Why ppl dont give rematch in live chess here?

I dont know if it is common. I always give a rematch whatever the result of the first game.

But when I lose and I request a rematch they refuse it 9 out of 10 times. It is more frustating when I played the first game with black.

Therefore, I believe I play more than 60 percent with black pieces.

In my opinion, not giving a rematch it is VERY UNSPORTING. Please share your opinions. Is it OK or not, if not, can it be changed etc...?

Yeah. ....time is d main issue according 2 me...becoz on normal working day i usually get 1 hour in which I could only complete 1 match n den move 2 office. ..but on weekends I could consider playing rematch

to tell the truth, most time I don't accept rematches due to the fact that I want to play with someone new. Playing with the same person when you're at my level of live chess, gets kinda repetitive. But sometimes when I really enjoy the games I play with someone, I'm more than willing to do a rematch.

I wouldn't like to keep busting up the same guy, I reckon he'd only get more annoyed with every game.

Most of the time that I refuse a rematch it's because my next game has already started. I also refuse them if I really want to examine the game I just played, or if my opponet hangs all his pieces and plays on for forever.

What annoys me is when I win the first game, accept the rematch, then say I blunder horribly and lose (which only seems to happen in rated games!) and offer a rematch. Quite often it is not accepted. Considering I've been kind enough to give you another chance, which you've then taken, are you not going to give me a chance to redeem myself?
