Besides these recently created 'Macer 75' accounts, there's also another member called macer00, who joined Mar 13, 2014, and disappeared in the same day, but has made a few comments though(A total of 9). I believe you're the real Macer, since it's the most ancient around here, and the others just appeared in the month of May 2014.
P.S: The occupation on your profile says 'chess.com forum troll(Why else did i get banned?). So, which was your previous account then, real Macer? Or is it just another trolling, at all?
P.P.S: What would anyone gain by pretending to be Macer? Attention from other trolls?
Since so many people have been asking me about them, I think this is a good time for me to make an official statement regarding the matter. There are three things that I want to make clear:
1. I have no idea who they are. They are not my accounts. In the past I have been accused by members of chess.com of multi-accounting, and my response has always been that chess.com can do an IP address check on me if it wants to. And that is still my response now. Despite multiple allegations, I have never been found guilty of multi-accounting, because I have only ever had one account on chess.com. (In fact, despite my reputation as a rule-breaker, I have only ever been guilty of a few minor infractions, such as impersonating staff and repeating explicit language that someone else posted.)
2. Both macers are saying that they were the original macer, that they were around on chess.com before I was, and that I am an imposter. That is false. If you ask people who have been around long enough here, they will tell you that they never heard of any macers before me.
3. I am not asking the staff to ban them. I do not have a patent for the name macer75, so other people are free to use it if they want to. But of course, the decision whether or not to ban them is ultimately made by the staff, and once they make that decision I will not argue with it. Also, if the other macers are found guilty of infractions unrelated to impersonating me, my statement should not be construed as defending them.
I hope that clears things up a bit. If you have any other questions regarding the subject, feel free to leave a comment below.
Signed,
The one and only
