The ten greatest of music

[Sorry trysts...I can't do it. I feel bad each time I leave someone off the list so I deleted it]
Could you please put the list back up? This is how I find music. You can always add to the list!

- Robert Johnson
- MIssissippi John Hurt
- Taj Mahal
- Sam & Dave
- Django Reinhardt
- Billie Holiday
- Patsy Cline
- Elvis (just the Sun Sessions)
- Hank Williams Sr.
- Beatles
- Moody Blues
- Springsteen (up to and including The River)
- Maria McKee (with or without Lone Justice)
- The Doors
- Nirvana
- Bob Marley
- Buddy Holly
- Roy Orbison
- Marty Robbins

trysts...that's my top ten. A person's music tells a lot about them, I think. So, this sharing was uncomfortable until I realized...MyCowsCanFly isn't my real name. Surprise. Your list looks good for exploring too.

I understand you, MCCF. Sometimes I'm quite self-conscious about what I post, and then I just have to remember that all they have is my first name, so anything goes!

I like so many different things, my combination might seem a little strange, and maybe I'll feel different tomorrow.
Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin and Edith Piaf will always be on my list.
Then, fill up the list with any of: Deep Purple, Led Zepelin, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billy Holiday, Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac...........

My music taste covers so many genres (classical, jazz, classic rock, metal, older hiphop, instrumentals, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head). Lol, is there anything you have an interest in particular so I can list off a few?

MBV and Radiohead may be 2 of my choices as well. PJ Harvey's not bad also. Somehow I haven't got round to listening to Godspeed you, Black Emperor! yet.

Neu!
Radiohead
Sonic Youth
Captain Beefheart
Merzbow
AMM
Schoenberg
Brian Eno
CAN
Kraftwerk
Actually no room for MBV unfortunately...

Alice-in-chains (The greatest of the Seattle bands, IMHO. And the only currently active band which still remembers how to rock.)
Black Sabbath/Ozzie Ozbourne (The inventors of Heavy Metal.)
Guns 'n Roses (discounting that Chineese Democracy junk)
Kid Rock (Rock? Rap? Country? This guy can do it all!)
Led Zepplin (If I could only list 1, this would be it.)
Metallica (80's and 90's)
Pearl Jam (Okay, I only like one album from these guys. Ten. But It's a doozie. And give it to the vocals of Eddie Vedder. He rocks!)
Pink Floyd (Reinvented music from the ground up. Who can argue with that?)
Rush (for a gross overload of shear talent.)
U2 (almost no top-billed band is out for everyone else the way this band is. And The Edge may be the most underratted Guitarist ever.)

hello my dear friend trysts
sorry my english is not so good in otherwise i would like to participate in your forums

It is funny, Kid Rock lives in my hometown. His son went to my high school. I remember his son being there for a year before I graduated. He was really quiet and a bit of a troublemaker, but since I was older than him, I honestly did not give him very much attention, and I rarely passed by him.

My music taste covers so many genres (classical, jazz, classic rock, metal, older hiphop, instrumentals, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head). Lol, is there anything you have an interest in particular so I can list off a few?
Wow! If you can make lists from all those types of music, then please do I could make a classical music list, but I'm not smart enough about jazz to make a ten best list, nor metal, country, etc.
I don't know about you, but everyone is playing music where I live! Many discussions are going on about the best music ever! I just thought some people would like to list the best groups/solo singers of all time!
The best ten, in my opinion are:
Sigur Ros
The Cocteau Twins
Scout Niblett
PJ Harvey
Low Roar
Pearl Jam
Radiohead
Beirut
A Silver Mt. Zion
Natalie Merchant
It's in no order, I just love these people!
