I, too, complain of multiple solutions and have gotten several puzzles shortened, dropped or changed. However, in your given example, I have never seen 2 white square bishops or a black bishop in an impossible square.
How accurate were you in setting up the position? Would an h7 pawn permit ...Qg6 after your Bf3+?
I should mention that I've a paid memborship with Victor's chesstempo. Far more accurate regular tactics, and engame drills that really train.
Yeah the fact you made up the position reduces the legitimacy. If you actually posted the puzzle it would be removed.
I agree that sometimes the tactic trainer has flaws. Like the examples that you showed, sometimes there exists an alternative move that is equal to the solution of their design and other times. Other times (today's Daily Puzzle for example the virtual opponent does't seem to make the best move. Having admitted this, it must also be conceded that the majority of the puzzles are spot on.
