ongoingprocess, love your comment. I myself did the same, but with a rook.
On Saturday July 18, 2015 I watched this video and enjoyed it. I played a game after watching this video that used both bishops to deliver checkmate. Thank you so much for this video.
Another great video.
Zibbits videos are great but the same as on Chessvideos.tv, can you please add-in some new patterns and use the Chess.com standard board, this one looks from some old Disk operating system! Anyways the message remains the same, but wud be nice to have it in the available fritzy boards these days...! Thanks anyways Zibbit, you are great, do consider my request!
The sound quality is low because the bit rate is low - if you can increase the bitrate when you export the video, not compressing it so much, it will sound much better.
ever notice after watching zibbit vids you try to hard to create these patterns in a game? it has happened to me. i suggest the obvious, never try to force these patterns by setting them up unless setting them up improves your position, your opponent might very well know the pattern and see it coming, blocking the idea (after the block don't just hope your pieces are better); combine it with another idea so if the mating pattern is blocked, you still get a good position
The sound is much better in this newest one Ingvar.
Thank you, another great video.
Good material on the smothered mate!
Good video by Darth Vader..
Usual great video but the sound quality was terrible. If the sound cannot be boosted then could we have a a writen version added please.
Helpful videos, but the sound quality is awful. Perhaps you could add a subtitle option?
Great video, very helpful. sound quality is a bit poor
Great video, but it's a pity that the FM's voice (soundquality) isn't that hearable. In nr 1 and 2 of this series the sound is perfect. Staff...?
Again, excellent lecture. But please do something about the sound!!!!
This series is wonderful except for the fact that the sound is terrible. It is as though Johannesson is talking underwater. Why has this not been fixed?
by FM Ingvar Johannesson
FM Johannessen continues his excellent series on mating patterns, covering a variety of smothered mates including Philidor's Legacy. As in previous videos, a great selection of examples reinforces the patterns learned, and allows you to store them securely in your passive pattern-recognition memory.
