S2 Week 2 Qualifier Standings
Filling in for Lightning posting results this week because he's busy for a couple of days and we all know you all can't wait to get results.
This week's qualifying scores were exciting - for you. We had to sort out a lot of ties that affected both qualifying and seeding. The judges voted on ties and who should be ranked higher and lower.
Each of the 5 judges gave every submitted blog a score on a scale of 1-10. We averaged them out and put them in order from highest to lowest average scores. The top 8 this week have earned a spot in the Season 2 Knockouts, while everyone else unfortunately will have to hope for better luck next season.
Spots in the knockouts were decided by razor-thin margins this week as they were last week.
Below is the list of your final rankings and average scores. All of the judges are available to give you helpful feedback and constructive criticism, so if you're wondering what you could have done better, why you lost points, or simply looking to improve, message or chat with any of us for honest feedback. Don't be too upset if you didn't manage to qualify this season - there's always next season. Each post is a learning experience. We clearly tell that all of you have stepped up your blogging game since last season and are glad that you've learned something from this competition.
We had multiple ties - for 5th place, 7th, 8th, and 9th place, 11th, and a 4-way tie for 14th, which is why it took a while for the rankings to be sorted out.

Our finalized knockout bracket:
Congratulations to the top 8 this week! You've all clinched a spot in the Season 2 Knockouts, with the 9th to 16th seeds. It will begin on January 22nd. You can start writing now or take a break - you have time. I think I can speak for all of the judges when I say that I had a good time reading all of your posts. except maybe a few
Unfortunately for the rest of you, you did not qualify this week. But Season 3 will come before you know it, and until then, you can sit back, relax, and watch a lot of interesting matchups play out. We'll also probably have a lot more forum activities as we've had in the past - but guys please refrain from any spamming or repetitive threads about other members.
Remember, if you ever want feedback on your blog, you can always message any one of the judges and they *should* give you good feedback. You will get honest feedback, so if you can't handle some constructive criticism, just keep that in mind.
In the Knockouts Submission thread, which will open as soon as the Knockouts start, we will be making a slight change. We will only be allowing links or hyperlinked images to be posted in the thread - any off-topic comments will be deleted.
That's all for now - good luck to everyone in the knockouts, and good luck to all who didn't make it next season, we hope to see you then. Stay safe everyone and happy writing.
