Tips On Making And Managing A Club (Part 1: Creating A Club)

This time I will be telling about some tips on making and managing a club!
Let's start now!
First of all, how to create a club? Let's discuss that:
If you don't have an account yet, click "Sign In" on the left of your screen, then make an account. As soon as you get an account, click "Log In" if you aren't logged in yet and write your username and password. Then click the green "Log In" button that lights up when you hover over it, and done! Your account is here. Now, to create a club, hover over "Connect" and click "Clubs", or just tap on this link: https://www.chess.com/clubs . If you're a brand new account, then you won't be in any clubs! But either way: When you're a new account or not, you can make a club! Just click on "Create a Club" on the right side of your screen, or just click this link: https://www.chess.com/club/create . Now that you got to the page where you get to create your club, get going!
First of all, if you are a beginner( you are if you're needing help to create a club ), then first, make a name for your club. Don't worry that you'll accidentally copy someone else's club name - a red message right below the name you entered will warn you if you do. After you got your name, but you have NO IDEA what else to make, then just click "Create"!
Let's say you got an idea of your name but you are going fill in everything that is in the "Create a Club" form. Okay, well first, make your logo! You can either make it yourself, get it from a friend, or from the internet! Click on the first "Upload" word when you have saved the desired image to your device, it will take a few seconds depending on your internet speed, but when it loads, the logo is done! In order to make sure it won't disappear, click "Save" or "Create" if you still haven't saved it! You can change it again later by clicking "Club Settings" at the bottom of the screen when you scroll down!
The next step is to make your club background! Click on the "Upload" word below the other "Upload" word and choose the desired image. It will take a few seconds depending on your internet speed, but when it loads, the background is done! In order to make sure it won't disappear, click "Save" or "Create" if you still haven't saved it! You can change it again later by clicking "Club Settings" at the bottom of the screen when you scroll down!
The next step is to select a country. This will show up next to the name in your club! Click "Save" or "Create" if you STILL haven't saved it yet[ you should save it first! ]! You can change it again later by clicking "Club Settings" at the bottom of the screen when you scroll down!
Next, select a location for your club. This will appear below the club name when you make the club. Just type in the location you want your club to be and click “Save” when you’re done!
EXTRA STEP: Set a Clubs Blacklist for your club! This will include the clubs that your club doesn’t want to receive notifications from. For example, matches, vote chess, and other activities.
Next, you will need to set a public description for your club. Here, introduce your club, and tell people why they should join! It should be nice and descriptive, or else people won’t get interested! It should include things like the club theme, what the club mainly talks about, and also what they should expect when they enter the club. Note: The public description will only be seen if the member reading it is OUTSIDE the club. You should not write about the club’s SUPER DEEP details just yet though! Click “Save” when you’re done.
After that, make a private description for your club. It should include what the public description DIDN’T include about the club. You should not copy the public description and set it into the private description though! Note: The private description will only be seen if the member reading it is INSIDE the club. Click “Save” when you’re done!
If you want everyone to be able to join your club without letting you know, you shouldn’t touch the “Anyone can join?” option. If you do, then your club will be private so that people must send a request to join if they want to! If you didn’t touch the option, move on to the next step! If you did touch the option, click “Save” before moving on.
If you want to play Vote Chess( I will explain soon ), then DO NOT touch the “Play Team Vote Chess?” option! If you do, this club will not be able to play vote chess! If you didn’t touch the option, move on to the next step! If you did touch the option click “Save” before moving on.
If you want to play Daily Matches, then do not touch the “Play Team Daily Matches?” option! If you do, this club will not be able to play daily matches! If you didn’t touch the option, move on to the next step! If you do touch the option, click “Save” before moving on.
After this, click on “Show advanced options” to see more.
If you want your forums to be private( unreadable ) before someone joins, then DO touch the “Private forum?” option!! If you don’t want to make your forums private, then DON’T touch the “Private forum?” option. If you didn’t touch it, move on to the next step! If you did touch it, click “Save” and move on.
If you want private( unreadable ) notes, news, or members, DO touch the “Private notes?”/”Private news?”/”Private members?” options! If you don’t want to make any of them private, don’t touch them. If you didn’t touch it, move on to the next step! If you did touch it, click “Save” and move on.
If you always want to show your description, touch “Always show description?”, if you don’t, then do not touch that option. If you didn’t touch it, move on to the next step! If you did touch it, click “Save” and move on.
If you want to make the default on your club homepage the Notes and Chat, then DON’T touch the “Default on Home” thing. If you want to make it whatever, click on the “Notes and Chat” and select what you want. After that click “Save”! Now, congratulations! Your club has been made!!!!
