ChessKid is beyond excited to announce the extension of its ChessKid National Festival to K-8 chess players! Now, elementary and middle schoolers alike can take part in one of the largest chess festivals of 2024, and enjoy all of the amazing activities we have planned.

What is the ChessKid National Festival?

The ChessKid National Festival is an epic four-day weekend event filled with chess activities and family-friendly entertainment in Charlotte, NC, February 16-19, 2024. 

In partnership with the Charlotte Chess Center, kids (K-8) will have the opportunity to:

  • Compete in over-the-board tournaments and play bughouse, blitz, puzzles, and more.
  • Meet popular chess masters and streamers, including IM Levy Rozman (GothamChess), FM Mike Klein (FunMasterMike), WGM Jennifer Shahade, FM James Canty, IM Danny Rensch, and GM Daniel Naroditsky
  • Learn from one of the strongest female chess players ever, GM Judit Polgar, in an online-exclusive VIP masterclass.
