I hate tactics...
(Not late finally let's goooo)
Hello, friends, followers, casual blog viewers, and fellow tilters, welcome to my fourth tournament blog. In this blog, I will be showing you my games from the Coppell Chess Club's January FIDE Classical Swiss tournament (gosh what a long name). Ironically, I just played in that exact same tournament (read my post here) just three months ago. I say "just" because I don't play tournaments very often unfortunately :/
Now, the time control was G90;inc30 (since this is classical) and I played in the U1400 section, and the two-day format just like last time.
Unfortunately, I did not get any good pictures, so there will only be two *mostly okay* pictures. :/
Note: for some reason I can't get the diagrams to be facing the right way based on the colors I had in all the games with Black. So sorry about that, if you really want you can flip the board manually yourselves XD
Anyway, enough talk, let's jump right into the games:

Tough luck, first round loss. 17. Ra4??, blundering the fork, was the whole reason I lost. Everything else before that went fine, though. Welp.
Game two:
Well that was quite the casual attacking game. Kinda funny I lost my queen there but so what I still was winning.
Game three:

23. c5?? lost the bishop for nothing, and that made me have a losing mindset the rest of the game. Didn't help that we went into a queen endgame and I was forced to defend for so long. Luckily he didn't convert and we were headed to my first tourney draw ever, and then 48. Kh6?? blew it all away. Man, chess can be heartbreaking sometimes.
I would've asked my opponent to analyze, but it was so late and I was exhausted. We spent the night at a friends house.
Fourth game:
One thing to learn: Time management is very important. Don't take forever in the opening, otherwise it might make it look like you're intentionally trying to stall xD
Game five:
It's really too bad I missed the rook sac 28...Rb3!!, giving me the extremely strong passed pawn. But then I started moving too fast and BAM all of the sudden my queen is gone. I hate tactics XD
I finished 19th (ugh!) out of 29 players in my division. Other than the last game, and the results, I think I did pretty good. And just like last time, in every single game, White won! XD
Well, thanks for reading, and have a good rest of your day!
